Time Outs

I am a regular user of time outs
Or at least I threaten them frequently.

What are time outs really?
A time to regain control
(both parent and child)
A time to teach
A time to learn.

Friday was a bad day.
I am finally at a really good point in my life where almost every day is good
But when the day is bad...
It's BAD.

Friday, I was the two year old needing a time out.
And I got one!

Fortunately, my Mother-in-law had some serious foresight
(also known as the Spirit)
And bought tickets for myself and all her daughters to:
TIME OUT FOR WOMEN
(see what it is here)

It was a time to regain control
I calmed down and could control myself better.
Heavenly Father regained control over my life, my actions and my heart.
It was a time when Heavenly Father taught me many, many lessons.
And I learned.

Thank You

That's so wonderful! I always feel like as soon as I'm going to lose it (or already have a bit--like this morning...), Heavenly Father sends help and makes everything better. So wonderful.

I love Time Out!!! I go with a big group of girls every year and we make a whole weekend of it! For me, it's not just the conference- but the girl time. (oh... and also the really great restaurants/shopping... gotta love anything that involves Nordstrom!)I am glad you got some time to yourself to reflect.

I hate it when I realize that I am acting like a two year old. You aren't alone. Glad you had a nice time and hope you guys are doing well!

What was sweet of your mother-in-law! I am a sucker for stuff like that! Cute halloween costumes by the way.
