They Seriously Grow SO Fast

Tucker just learned both of these tricks instantly, at the same time last night.
It blew my mind!
He morphed from a baby to a person right before my eyes.

It Seems But a Distant Memory

We were so enjoying the fall.
Blustery kite-flying days.
Sunny afternoons spent with neighborhood children,
Amidst the season's amber glow...

It seems so long ago.

(That was 6 days ago, and did I mention today it's SNOWING?!)

For you Mom and Dad

These are the best haircut pictures I could muster.
Don't look too close.

Random note: I just love the back of baby heads.

The End of Days

This picture was taken today.
It's not even Halloween yet.
Sure our spider web decorations look like snow, but this is not what I meant by them.
See that white dusting? It's a blizzard I tell ya.
It's a sign of the times, people...
A sign of the times.

A Bishop's Counsel

Today during announcements at church the bishop addressed the long.... dun dun dun
FLU SEASON
ahead.

He counseled us to stay home if you have a fever and for 24 hours after it is gone--check.

He asked us to keep our kids out of nursery if they have a runny nose--check.

He requested we keep our children out of primary if they are coughing--check.

"No problem...", I thought "of course".

"I can do one better, he didn't say anything about this!" thought Russel.

Russel showed us all that the bishop forgot to mention abundantly spewing chocolate milk all over oneself and those around you. I give credit to the children-less couple sitting by us who just gave us a pitiful smile as they watched the horror of it all.

But we wanted to follow the advice given, which didn't say anything about throwing up, so off we sent Russel to nursery.

No, not really, we went home where Russel proceeded to vomit all over BOTH of our couches. The poor kid has thrown up 4 times today.

And he's totally at the age where you ask him, "Does your tummy hurt? Are you gonna throw up?" and he says, "No.....BLAHHHHGGH".

Wish me luck

Now Here's What's Been Up in Utah

Last night we made a little "Russel-size" jack-o-lantern. It came out so well! Russel got to help cut it out, then we roasted the seeds and made rice krispy treats.

I think this is what Russel thinks he really looks like.

Our first day here we were greeted by the first real live praying mantis I've ever seen.

Russel had fun watering the concrete and the mantis was like, "Helloooo, over here, I'm roasting!"

Tucker's been climbing on everything. Yeah, we had to get a new gate.

And the poor guy got stung by a bee. Right next to his right eye. He was MISERABLE.

Oh yeah, and today when I came downstairs after my shower Russel says,
"Mama, you look so handsome!"
Never has the word handsome made me feel so good!

Making A Come Back

So here's some of the stuff we did while life was too crazy to even blog about it...

Lobsterfesting at Nana and Pop-pop's (or steak, corn, popcorn and a movie for the kids) See Russel with his cousin Andrew across from him? They're 6 months apart and the whole time they just gave each other crusty looks and said, "MINE" "NO, It's MINE"... they weren't even fighting over anything... just fighting.

Checking out those creepy crawlies and I'm sure Pop-pop's telling the tale of the screaming lobster

Playing in the car

Being cute and a handsome little stow-away

Monster boots and playing in puddles (a very rare picture of the elusive smile)
Hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa's

First time at the Washington County Fair... Motorcycles!
Take me with you!
Is that a ray gun? Nope, just the sweetest bubble gun you ever saw.

This was Russel's first experience with fair rides. He's holdin' on for dear life! (I would be too)
Flying

Caught, marshmallow handed.
